Puttur: St Philomena College (Autonomous) held its annual one-day retreat for Catholic students on Monday, November 18, at the Divya Chethana Chapel. Organised by the college’s Divya Chethana Association, the retreat centred on the theme ‘Seek God’, offering students an opportunity to deepen their spiritual connection and rejuvenate their faith.
A day of spiritual awakening
The retreat featured sessions led by renowned preacher Rev. Fr Ronson Pinto, focusing on:
- Strengthening personal relationships with God.
- Living a Christ-centred life.
- Overcoming youth challenges with the guidance of Christ.
- Embracing the power of the Holy Spirit.
The sessions encouraged self-reflection, guiding students to examine their conscience and seek God’s mercy.
Participatory activities
Interactive discussions, action songs, and creative activities added vibrancy to the day, fostering a sense of unity and joy among the participants. Students actively engaged in heartfelt confessions and moments of introspection, discovering new ways to strengthen their spiritual foundation.
Eucharistic celebration
The retreat concluded with the Eucharistic celebration, where the essence of God’s mercy was highlighted, leaving a profound impact on the attendees.
