Mangaluru: The all-India intercollegiate sports and cultural fest ASTRA 2.0, organized by Yenepoya Allied Healthcare Professions, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), concluded on February 22 with a grand valedictory ceremony. The week-long event, held from February 17 to 22, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across India.
A celebration of sports and culture
Building on the success of ASTRA ’24, this year’s edition saw an even larger turnout from colleges in Karnataka, Kerala, Assam, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. The sports segment featured intense competitions in football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, throwball, and futsal, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship.
Alongside the sporting events, the cultural fest showcased a vibrant mix of solo and group dance (Classical, Eastern, and Western), solo singing, fashion shows, mehendi, face painting, photography, reel contests, debates, essay writing, and poetry competitions.
A grand conclusion
The valedictory ceremony, attended by dignitaries, faculty, and students, marked the successful culmination of ASTRA 2.0, leaving participants with unforgettable memories of competition, creativity, and camaraderie.
