On July 28, the Bajpe police station, led by PSI Revana Siddappa, confiscated 750 kg of beef worth Rs 2 lakh from two individuals. The arrested men, Mohammed Arif (24) and Mohammed Sultan (19), are residents of Moodbidri Handelu.

The beef was discovered in a vehicle near Gopalakrishna Bajana Mandir in Baitari, under Edapadavu village. Acting on a tip-off, the police swiftly intercepted the vehicle and seized the meat.

Authorities have formed a team to apprehend the prime accused, ensuring a thorough investigation into the illegal transport and distribution of beef. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of the Bajpe police to curb illegal activities in the region.
