Bantwal– Police have apprehended the 13th accused in the murder of Abdul Rehman of Kolattamajalu and the assault on Kalandhar Shafi, an incident that occurred on May 27 at Irakodi in Kurniyal village.
The suspect, Ranjith alias Ranju (35), a resident of Pudu village, was arrested on August 10. Authorities confirmed he will be produced in court and may be remanded to police custody for further questioning.
Earlier, Bantwal Rural Police had arrested 12 others linked to the case. All were interrogated extensively before being placed in judicial custody.
Police have stated that the investigation remains active, with multiple accused still on the run. Search operations are underway to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects.
