Bantwal: A remarkable show of community solidarity has helped Rakesh Menezes, a resident of Poithaje in Bantwal, secure the financial assistance required for his urgent kidney transplant.

In a public note of gratitude, Our Lady of Vailankanni Church, Farla, thanked parishioners, well-wishers and donors whose generous contributions made the life-saving treatment possible.

Community rallies behind patient

According to the church’s message, Rakesh Menezes, son of Ida Menezes, had been diagnosed with kidney failure and was advised by doctors to undergo an urgent kidney transplant.

Following an appeal for financial support, members of the parish and donors from various places came forward with contributions, enabling the family to raise the required amount for the transplant and related medical expenses.
