Mangaluru: At a press meet on Tuesday, July 2, held at the BJP office in PVS, BJP leader Satish Prabhu vehemently criticized Rahul Gandhi’s recent statements in Parliament.
Addressing the media, Prabhu stated, “The BJP strongly condemns Rahul Gandhi’s speech in Parliament yesterday. His statement that ‘those who claim to be Hindus are the ones who create violence, lies, and hatred in the country’ has deeply hurt the sentiments of Hindus nationwide. Equating any community with violence and hatred is unjust. Portraying Hindus negatively for political gain shows his immaturity. Such remarks from a respected position in Parliament are a disservice and disrespect to both the Parliament and the office he holds.”
Prabhu further criticized the display of images of Hindu gods in Parliament, stating that it hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. He pointed out the irony of Congress leaders, who have made significant amendments to the Constitution in the past, now speaking about the Constitution. “The Congress has misused government machinery, deprived the people of freedom of expression and press, enforced Emergency, and tortured opponents. Yet, they now talk about the Constitution,” Prabhu added.
He concluded by demanding an immediate apology from Rahul Gandhi to the Hindus of the country, highlighting that such statements and actions are unacceptable and disrespectful to the Hindu community.
