Mangaluru: A bomb threat email has been sent to the prestigious Lourdes School located in the Bejai area of the city. The threat was received on the school’s official email ID, following which a complaint was lodged with the police.
Kadri police and the bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and carried out a thorough inspection. Recently, a similar bomb threat email had been sent claiming a bomb had been planted in the Mangaluru court premises. After verification, the police had declared it a hoax.
It was also found that bomb threat emails had been sent from Tamil Nadu to several court offices across the state. Around the same time, multiple schools in Bengaluru had also received similar bomb threat emails.
Now, Lourdes School in Mangaluru has received a bomb threat, and police investigations are currently underway. An inquiry has been initiated to ascertain who sent the threatening message. Police have stated that no suspicious or dangerous objects have been found during inspections so far.
