An incident of public nuisance has sparked outrage in Sullia town after CCTV footage captured an unidentified man dumping garbage onto a house’s sunshade in Kurunjibhag.

The issue came to light when residents noticed a foul odor near their home and inspected the premises. To their shock, they discovered waste dumped atop the window sunshade. A review of the CCTV footage installed at the house revealed the act.

The video shows a man, suspected to be a labourer involved in nearby water pipeline works, deliberately hurling a bag of trash onto the sunshade. Following the discovery, the homeowner filed a formal complaint at Sullia Police Station and submitted the footage to the Sullia Town Panchayat.

However, locals allege that despite the availability of clear video evidence, no action has yet been taken. Frustrated residents have voiced serious concerns about public hygiene and the lack of immediate accountability. They have urged officials to act promptly to maintain cleanliness and discipline.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is underway.
