Mangaluru – The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has commenced the second phase of interrogation of Chinnaiah, an accused in the high-profile Burude case, after conducting a location search in Bengaluru.
On October 30, the SIT team took Chinnaiah to the residences of Jayant T. and Mattannavar, who had allegedly provided him shelter. The search reportedly yielded crucial leads for further investigation.
Court proceedings and custody
Chinnaiah was earlier produced before the Belthangady court on October 23 and remanded to SIT custody for 12 days until November 3. He is scheduled to be presented before the court again on September 3 as per procedural requirements.
Cooperation assured by hosts
Responding to media queries about the searches, Jayant stated that his family has extended full cooperation to the SIT and provided all necessary information related to the case.
Investigation enters critical stage
Officials believe that the fresh round of interrogation may help uncover key details about the Burude case, which has drawn significant public and media attention.
