On Thursday, two KSRTC buses collided head-on at Kidu CPCRI on the state highway between Kadaba and Subramanya. One bus was en route from Subramanya to Uppinangady, while the other was traveling in the opposite direction from Uppinangady to Subramanya. Fortunately, both drivers and passengers sustained only minor injuries.
The collision resulted in significant damage to the front portions of both buses. Most of the injured passengers received treatment as outpatients at the Kadaba community center, with two individuals admitted for further observation.
The accident caused a temporary disruption in traffic, lasting nearly an hour as the buses obstructed the road. Kadaba KSRTC traffic controller Venugopal, local police, and residents worked together to clear the vehicles from the roadway, allowing traffic to resume.
KSRTC officials visited the site to check on the condition of the injured passengers and to assess the damage. The swift response from local authorities and the community helped in quickly resolving the traffic issues and ensuring that those affected received timely medical attention.
