A cosmetic surgery and hair transplant clinic in Bendorewell has been temporarily shut down by the Health Department after a youth, Mohammad Mazin from Ullal Akkarekere, tragically passed away following treatment. The family of the deceased has accused the clinic of negligence, claiming that improper administration of anesthesia prior to surgery led to his death.

The Health Department has taken swift action, registering a suo moto case. On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan directed the closure of the clinic. Acting on this, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, Dr. H R Thimmayya, confirmed the clinic’s suspension.

Dr. Thimmayya revealed that the patient was undergoing liposuction to treat gynecomastia. An expert team has been appointed to investigate and uncover the facts behind the unfortunate incident.
