In a successful rescue operation, a cow that was swept away by the Netravati River at Uppinangady was saved by the home guard flood rescue team. The incident occurred when the cow fell into a drain at Pundupila in Mogru village and was carried into the river by the strong current.
The situation was brought to light by Chandappa, who spotted the cow floating in the river and promptly alerted the flood rescue team. The team, led by acting in-charge Dinesh B., quickly mobilized a response to save the animal.
