On Tuesday, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan made an unexpected visit to the waste disposal unit of Bantwal TMC located at Kanchinadkapadavu in Sajipa village. This visit came in response to complaints from local residents, who had raised concerns with Speaker U.T. Khader about the issues caused by unscientific waste disposal in the area over the past several days.
Following these complaints, Speaker Khader had instructed the Deputy Commissioner to inspect the site. During the visit, the DC reprimanded the Bantwal TMC Chief Officer for the improper waste disposal practices and emphasized the need for a more scientific approach to managing waste, ensuring no further inconvenience to the local community.
The inspection was attended by Assistant Commissioner Harshavardhan, Ullal Tahsildar Puttaraju, and other officials.
