On Wednesday, Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta made a surprise visit to the ESI Hospital in the city. During his visit, Chowta personally listened to the grievances of the patients and learned about the issues affecting their care.
It was revealed that a senior hospital official was absent, and the MP swiftly summoned the officer. He directed the official to address the issues patients were facing due to a server error. Chowta expressed his dissatisfaction after learning that patients, particularly those traveling from distant locations, were being inconvenienced because of the technical malfunction.
To alleviate the situation, the MP instructed the hospital staff to issue handwritten reference letters for patients to visit other hospitals, ensuring they would not be left stranded due to the server issues.
