In a shocking incident in Kinnimajalu village, Ira, thieves broke into the residence of Chandrashekhar and Vanita during broad daylight, stealing gold ornaments valued at Rs 4.14 lakh. The incident came to light when Vanita’s sister, Sujata, noticed the broken lock on July 13 and promptly alerted the homeowners.

Upon their return, Chandrashekhar and Vanita discovered a scene of disarray inside their house. The thieves had ransacked rooms, leaving clothes strewn across the floor, and made off with approximately 69 grams of gold ornaments.

A complaint has been lodged with the Bantwal rural police station, prompting Inspector Shivakumar and his team to launch an investigation into the burglary. They visited the site to gather evidence and assess the extent of the loss, aiming to apprehend the perpetrators swiftly.

The incident has left the residents of Kinnimajalu village shaken, highlighting concerns over security in the area.
