With the rising water levels in the Netravati River, authorities have initiated emergency measures to protect residents in Pavoor village. On July 30, 15 families from Kadavina Baliya Harekal and Parari Dota areas were relocated by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the local fire brigade.
The river’s increasing flow has significantly impacted nearby areas, including Kadenjadota, Baitharu, and Uliguddu, where water levels are continuing to rise. As the situation worsened in the evening, with water seeping into homes, rescue operations were promptly carried out.
Rescue teams worked tirelessly to evacuate over 30 individuals from their residences, ensuring their safety as the floodwaters encroached further into the village.
Authorities remain vigilant, monitoring the situation closely to manage the rising water levels and mitigate further risk to residents. Emergency services are on high alert, ready to address any additional needs as the flood situation evolves.
