Mangaluru: The fourth edition of “EREVNA”, the National Undergraduate Health Sciences Research Conference, will be held for three days from June 4, 2026, at the Knowledge Block, Centre for Basic Sciences, Bejai, Kasturba Medical College (KMC Mangaluru).

The conference is expected to witness participation from over 700 undergraduate medical students representing 50 medical colleges across India, making it one of the major national academic events for undergraduate medical research.

Organisers stated that the conference aims to promote research, innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic excellence among future healthcare professionals.

Conference to feature 400 presentations and workshops

EREVNA 2026 will include nearly 400 oral research presentations by undergraduate medical students from institutions across the country.

In addition to research presentations, several student clubs of KMC Mangaluru will conduct five interactive workshops, two competitive quizzes, poster presentations, and clinical case discussions during the conference.

The programme will also feature symposiums, masterclasses, and keynote lectures delivered by distinguished medical professionals and experts from various healthcare sectors.

Organisers noted that the event has consistently served as an important platform for young medical researchers to present their work, exchange ideas, and build professional networks.

Industry experts to conduct special sessions

Special sessions during the conference will be conducted by industry experts from organisations including Laerdal Medical, Elsevier, Karnataka Medical Council, and UWorld.

These sessions are expected to provide students with valuable insights into medical education, research methodologies, simulation-based learning, academic publishing, licensing, and global healthcare trends.

The organisers stated that the conference focuses on nurturing scientific temperament, encouraging innovation, and strengthening research culture among undergraduate medical students.

Student Research Forum organising conference

EREVNA 2026 is being organised by the Student Research Forum of KMC Mangaluru under the aegis of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).

The inauguration ceremony will be held at 3 pm on Thursday at the Knowledge Block, Centre for Basic Sciences, Bejai.

Shri Ivan D’Souza, Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council, will attend as the Chief Guest.

Mr. Sanjeev Singh, Managing Director of Laerdal Medical India Private Limited, will be the Guest of Honour.

The event will be presided over by Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, along with Dr. B. Unnikrishnan, Dean of KMC Mangaluru.

Organisers expressed confidence that EREVNA 2026 would continue strengthening undergraduate medical research culture while inspiring future healthcare leaders and innovators.
