Mangaluru: Students of Expert PU College have delivered an outstanding performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026, with 19 students securing above the 99 percentile.
Among the top achievers, Ankit Ashok Dodawad stood out by achieving a perfect 100 percentile in Physics, marking a significant accomplishment in the highly competitive national-level examination.
Strong overall performance
The institution recorded impressive results across various percentile ranges. A total of 57 students scored above the 98 percentile, while 93 students crossed the 97 percentile mark.
Further, 130 students secured above 96 percentile, 166 students scored above 95 percentile, and as many as 377 students achieved more than 90 percentile in the aptitude test conducted in March 2026.
These results reflect consistent academic excellence and rigorous preparation by students and faculty alike.
Top rank holders
Among the leading performers, Suhas Basanagouda Balanagoudra secured 99.70 percentile with an All India Rank (AIR) of 4,758. He was closely followed by Ankit Ashok Dodawad, who also scored 99.70 percentile with AIR 4,773.
Other notable achievers include Krutika Mallikarjun Patil (99.62 percentile, AIR 6,076) and Uddandi Laxmi Meghana (99.59 percentile, AIR 6,508).
Additional high scorers include Samay A S (99.50), Milan Madesh S (99.49), Ujwal Shivanand Boodihal (99.42), Deepak Gowda M (99.42), D Navaneeth N Pai (99.41), Sai Shobith S (99.41), and Abhishek R Hanamantagoudar (99.41).
Other achievers include Arale Virupakshi (99.36), Naren V (99.34), Nithish Gopal (99.33), Yashas N M (99.33), Samarth Gowda R (99.29), Rishika K S (99.25), Chandan H R (99.17), and Nandan Nayak (99.17).
Exam conducted in two sessions
JEE Main 2026 was conducted in two sessions—January and March—with final rankings determined based on candidates’ best performance across both attempts.
The examination serves as a gateway for admission to premier engineering institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology.
