Extension of Parasuram Express to Kanyakumari with Additional Coaches

Starting from July 3, Train No. 16649/16650, the Mangaluru Central-Nagercoil Junction-Mangaluru Central Parasuram Express, will temporarily extend its route up to Kanyakumari. This extension aims to accommodate ongoing works in the Nagercoil area. The train will depart from Mangaluru Central at 05:05 and arrive at Kanyakumari at 21:15, with scheduled stops at Nagercoil Junction at 20:20/20:25.

To manage passenger rush effectively, two additional general class coaches have been added temporarily to the train’s composition. The revised coach arrangement includes 16 General Class Coaches, 02 AC Chair Car Coaches, 03 Chair Car Coaches, and 02 Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches, ensuring accessibility for passengers with disabilities.

The decision to extend the train’s route and augment coaches was made to provide seamless connectivity and convenience to passengers traveling between Mangaluru and Kanyakumari during the ongoing maintenance works.
