Mangaluru: Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) organised a workshop on “Work-Life Balance” for its faculty as part of International Women’s Day celebrations. The event, held at the Decennial Memorial Hall from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, aimed at fostering a balanced professional and personal life.
Expert-led insights on balance
Dr. Sunita Y. Patil, a renowned academic, led the session as the chief guest and resource person. Her interactive presentation covered time management, stress reduction, and resilience-building techniques. Participants gained practical strategies for achieving a sustainable work-life balance.

Inauguration and proceedings
The event began with an invocation, followed by Dr. Nisha J Marla welcoming the dignitaries. Dr. Sunita Patil was introduced by Dr. Hilda D’Souza, former Women Empowerment Cell chairperson. The workshop was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony, where the first registered male and female participants, Dr. Sueallen and Dr. Shivashankara, joined the dignitaries.
Dr. Patil’s session addressed mental well-being and professional efficiency. The presidential address was delivered by Rev. Fr Ajith B Menezes.
Conclusion and gratitude
Dr. Madhurima A Nayak delivered a vote of thanks, and Dr. Tanush Shetty efficiently hosted the event. The workshop’s success reaffirmed FMCI’s dedication to faculty development and gender inclusivity.
