Fr Brian Pereira is a highly accomplished academic and mentor. He holds a Master’s degree in Counselling from Loyola University, Maryland, United States of America, and has undergone extensive training in youth formation and leadership development.
A certified NLP trainer and life skills coach, he has trained thousands of young people across the country, equipping them with essential life skills and values. His approach combines academic insight with practical guidance, making him a sought-after mentor and speaker.
Rich experience in leadership roles
Over the years, Fr Brian has held several key administrative positions within Jesuit institutions. He has served as Vice-President of the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society and Rector of Jesuit communities, demonstrating strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
His tenure includes roles such as Director of Navasadhana Jesuit Pre-novitiate, in-charge of Jesuit Youth Works in South Asia, and Founding Director of the Karnataka Jesuit Youth Apostolate. He also served as Rector of St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, and later as Rector of St Joseph’s Institutions.
His recent role as Director of the Human Resource Development Centre of the Karnataka Jesuit Province further reflects his commitment to institutional growth and capacity building.
Champion of youth formation and social initiatives
Fr Brian is widely recognised for his active involvement in youth formation initiatives. He is the brain behind the IGNITORS integral formation programme, which has reached over 2 lakh youth, helping them develop leadership qualities and personal growth.
He has also been instrumental in social outreach initiatives such as Bembala – St Joseph’s Outreach Programme, which focuses on community service and support for the underprivileged. Additionally, he has contributed to programmes like Magis South Asia and Samagra, promoting holistic wellness and development among students.
