Mangaluru: A man who had been evading authorities for nearly a year after skipping court hearings in multiple criminal cases has finally been arrested.

Munir, also known as Anna Munir (48), a resident of Kasaba Bengre, Mangaluru, was wanted in connection with four serious offenses, including theft, attempted murder, robbery, and fraud, according to police reports.

Despite securing bail, he failed to appear in court, leading to a warrant being issued against him. Acting on a tip-off, the CCB police apprehended Munir on March 4 and handed him over to Kavoor Police Station for further legal action.

The accused has cases registered at Kavoor, Mangaluru Rural, Panambur, and Mangaluru South police stations. Authorities are now conducting further investigations into his activities.
