Mangaluru: The government has mandated linking mobile numbers with vehicle registration certificates (RCs), driving licences, and Aadhaar cards to streamline transport-related services.
This step ensures easy access to updates on traffic violations, e-challans, registration renewals, driving licence renewals, and vehicle sales. Notifications are being sent via the Parivahan portal, instructing licence holders to complete mobile number updates through Aadhaar authentication.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has urged all vehicle owners and licence holders to complete the process promptly. Linking is vital for receiving timely alerts and for availing digital services securely.
