Mangaluru — As India prepares to mark its 79th Independence Day, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is once again being launched nationwide, encouraging every household to proudly display the tricolor. BJP State Spokesperson Hariprakash Chomo Mane called on citizens to actively participate in the initiative and celebrate the spirit of freedom.
Speaking at a press conference at the Mangaluru Press Club, Mane highlighted that since its inception in 2022, the campaign has seen widespread participation. From August 10 to 15, BJP’s various wings and Morchas have been organizing Tiranga Yatras across villages and cities. Under the Har Ghar Tiranga program, flags will be hoisted from August 13 to 15 and respectfully lowered at 5 pm on the 15th. According to party reports, over one crore videos have been uploaded on the Har Ghar Tiranga app, reflecting the enthusiasm of participants.
Preparations are in full swing to ensure that every home hoists the national flag during the campaign. District BJP President Satish Kumpal has led efforts to clean statues of freedom fighters and pay floral tributes. Additionally, “Operation Sindoor” has been undertaken to honor national icons, adding a special touch to this year’s celebrations.
Mane emphasized that this year’s campaign pays tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong leadership and the bravery of countless soldiers who have defended the nation. BJP leaders Arun G. Shet, Vasant Poojary, and Raj Gopal Rai were also present at the event.
