Tragic consequences followed heavy rains across Karnataka, claiming the life of one individual in Udupi. Kurudi Irshad, a 52-year-old fisherman, lost his life after accidentally coming into contact with a snapped live electricity wire at Mudrumakki, Shiroor village, Byndoor taluk. The wire had fallen in front of his house during a thunderstorm on Saturday night, and Irshad stepped on it unknowingly, according to police reports.

In addition to the fatality, heavy rains wreaked havoc in various regions.
