Mangaluru: Mangaluru is witnessing intense rainfall, leading to artificial flooding beneath the Thokkottu flyover, located on the city’s outskirts. Several areas across Dakshina Kannada district have been experiencing continuous downpours since yesterday.
As a result, water levels in the Netravati and Kumaradhara rivers have surged. Officials have warned that the heavy rains are likely to persist for another two to three days.
The flooding has severely impacted school students and motorists, causing delays and disruptions in daily activities. Authorities are monitoring the situation and have urged residents to stay alert and avoid waterlogged areas.
