Mangaluru: Good health is everyone’s dream, and few pursue it as passionately as Sandeep S Rao, a well-known physical trainer and former wrestler from Bolara, Mangaluru. For years, he’s guided others on the path to fitness. Now, he’s facing the fight of his life.
Sandeep has been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, a critical condition requiring an urgent liver transplant. The estimated cost of the surgery is a staggering Rs 40 lakh, far beyond the family’s means.
His wife, who works in a private firm, struggles to even cover weekly medication expenses, let alone the cost of the transplant.
Once an active coach who mentored state and national-level athletes, Sandeep was honoured with the Tulanada Kesari title for his contributions to wrestling. Today, he remains bedridden, unable to move without assistance.
