Lombard Memorial Hospital (LMH) in Udupi inaugurated its new facilities including Lombard Home Care Service and the ophthalmology department on June 21. The event was graced by Rt Rev Hemachandra Kumar, Bishop CSI KSD, along with Dr Narendra Shenoy and Dr Arthur Rodrigues, consultants at LMH. Also present were Rev Ivan D Soan, Dr Sushil Jattana, Dr Ganesh Kamath, and Bharathi Hemachandra Kumar.
Bishop Rt Rev Hemachandra Kumar highlighted the hospital’s commitment to serving society and the Christian community’s role in healthcare and compassion. Dr Narendra Shenoy emphasized the importance of home care services in reaching patients unable to visit the hospital. Dr Sushil Jathanna discussed the challenges faced by senior citizens in accessing healthcare and the necessity of home care solutions.
The inauguration underscores LMH’s advancements in healthcare services, particularly in ophthalmology and home care, aiming to enhance medical accessibility and patient care.
