IndiGo has announced the commencement of direct flights from Mangaluru, Coimbatore, and Tiruchirappalli to Abu Dhabi, further bolstering its international connectivity. Starting August 9, daily flights will operate on the Abu Dhabi to Mangaluru route. The Tiruchirappalli to Abu Dhabi route will commence with four weekly flights from August 11, while direct flights from Coimbatore will operate thrice weekly starting August 10.
Earlier, IndiGo unveiled plans for a new direct flight linking Bengaluru and Abu Dhabi, set to commence six times a week from August 1, 2024. These expansions reflect IndiGo’s commitment to enhancing travel options between the UAE capital and key cities in southern India.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm about these additions, highlighting that IndiGo now operates 89 non-stop flights weekly to Abu Dhabi from 13 Indian cities. He emphasized the convenience these flights offer for both business and leisure travelers, facilitating seamless travel experiences and opening up new gateways to explore Abu Dhabi and beyond.
