Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has rolled out new travel packages, including both train and air travel options, originating from Mangaluru. On Tuesday, Sam Joseph P, Joint General Manager of Tourism, highlighted the launch of a tourism information and facilitation centre at Mangaluru Central Railway Station earlier this year. This centre is designed to provide information on IRCTC’s travel packages and assist with tour bookings, making it easier for travelers to plan their trips.
Among the special offers, IRCTC is introducing an air package titled Varanasi with Ayodhya Darshan. Departing from Mangaluru International Airport on May 16, the tour will begin in Varanasi, move on to Prayagraj, and include a visit to Ayodhya. The package is available from Rs 36,700 per person.
Another exciting option is the six-day Kashmir Air Tour Package, which will take travelers to Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonmarg. This package departs on August 25, with prices starting at Rs 51,700 per person. Both air packages include round-trip airfare, local transportation, hotel accommodation with meals, a tour coordinator, and travel insurance.
For those seeking a train journey, IRCTC also offers a five-day train tour to Ooty, departing from Mangaluru every Thursday. The package, starting at Rs 8,545 per person, includes round-trip train tickets, local transportation, hotel accommodation, and travel insurance.
Additionally, IRCTC has launched international packages, such as an eight-day South Korea tour, a 13-day Europe tour, a six-day Nepal tour, and a seven-day Sri Lanka tour. These packages range from Rs 60,500 to Rs 3.78 lakh per person, depending on the destination.
The LTC (Leave Travel Concession) facility is available for all domestic tour packages, benefitting employees of central and state government offices, as well as public sector establishments.
