Kumble Police have arrested Janardhana (29), a resident of Shantigodu, in connection with the suicide of his pregnant wife, Vijetha (32).
Vijetha, who was three months pregnant and originally from Vamanjoor in Mangaluru, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in their home on August 18. She left behind a suicide note accusing her husband of physical and mental abuse, which she cited as the reason for taking her own life. The couple had been married for just over a year and a half.
Janardhana has been produced in court and placed in judicial custody.
