Mangaluru: Acting swiftly on a late-night tip-off, Kavoor police arrested three individuals behaving suspiciously near Kavoor Junction around midnight on Tuesday.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Faaz (24) from Farangipete, Sharief A S (25) from Trissur, Kerala, and Mohammad Ashraf (24) from Sullia.
According to police sources, the trio attempted to flee the scene upon seeing the police, but were quickly apprehended. All three were subjected to a medical check-up, during which Mohammad Faaz tested positive for drug consumption.
The police are investigating the motive behind their presence at the location and whether the case is linked to any larger network or prior offences.
