Mangaluru: KMC Hospital Mangaluru will organise a public awareness session on World Allergy Day on Saturday, July 11, 2026, to educate the community about the early detection, prevention, and effective management of allergies. The session will be held at 3:30 pm on the Ground Floor, Tower 2, at KMC Hospital, Dr B.R. Ambedkar Circle.
The initiative aims to increase public awareness about the growing prevalence of allergic diseases across all age groups and help people recognise allergy symptoms, identify common triggers, and understand when immediate medical attention is required.
Expert session on allergy awareness
The awareness programme will be led by Dr Udaya Sureshkumar, Consultant – Respiratory Medicine & Pulmonology and Allergy Specialist at KMC Hospital Mangaluru.
The interactive session will provide practical guidance on distinguishing between common allergies and life-threatening allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis. Participants will also learn about allergy testing, treatment options, preventive measures, and the importance of timely medical intervention.
