The Konaje police have successfully apprehended two individuals in connection with a recent areca nut theft. The suspects, Mohammad Riyaz and Mohammad Nijamul Haq, were arrested on Tuesday, July 30. This action follows a complaint lodged at the Konaje police station concerning the theft of areca nuts in the Natekallu area on July 18.
The investigation led police to the Kurnadu Mittakodi area, where the suspects were found and detained. In the operation, law enforcement officers seized two auto rickshaws, valued at approximately ₹2.5 lakh, and 325 kilograms of processed areca nuts.
The arrests mark a significant step in addressing thefts in the region and recovering stolen goods. The Konaje police continue their efforts to ensure that such incidents are resolved efficiently, bringing perpetrators to justice and preventing future occurrences.
