KPCC Chief Secretary Inayat Ali visited Katipalla village in Suratkal Hobali, which was severely affected by high-velocity winds and rain on Thursday. During his visit, Ali consoled victims from nearly 30 households and distributed compensation from his I Am Foundation funds.
Ali inspected the heavily damaged Karunya Educational Institute and met with the school’s head, assuring that the government would provide maximum compensation. He also visited the home of Ayesha Haiza, a student injured by falling tiles at the school, and provided her family with medical expenses and compensation.
In a meeting with the revenue inspector, Ali gathered detailed information on the situation in Suratkal Hobali and instructed immediate action to be taken before Monday. He also engaged with Mescom officials, offering government support and urging the restoration of electricity by Monday.
Prominent figures accompanying Ali included Shameer Katipalla, state secretary of the minority unit, former corporator Gulzar Banu, Ayaaz Krishnapura, Sattar Krishnapura, MUDA member Abdul Zaleel Badriya, zonal president Kamal Chokkabettu, Yousuf, Moideen Chokkabettu, and MCC nominated member Kishore Shetty.
