Train services between Bengaluru and Mangaluru have been canceled due to a landslide between Yedakumeri and Kadagaravalli in Hassan district. Additionally, several trains have been diverted to alternative routes.

The Karwar-SMVT Bengaluru Special Express (train no. 06568) was canceled on July 26. The Mangaluru Central-Vijayapura Special Express (train no. 07378) was diverted on Friday, rerouted via Subramanya Road, Padeel, Suratkal, Karwar, Madgaon, and Hubballi.

Other diversions include:

  • Murdeshwara-SMVT Bengaluru Express (train no. 16586)
  • Kannur-KSR Bengaluru Express (train no. 16512)
  • Karwar-KSR Bengaluru Panchaganga Superfast Express (train no. 16596)

These trains are now traveling via Mangaluru Junction, Shoranuru, Salem, and Jolarpet.

Further adjustments involve:

  • KSR Bengaluru-Kannur Express (train no. 16511)
  • SMVT Bengaluru-Murdeshwara Express (train no. 16585)
  • KSR Bengaluru-Karwar Panchaganga Superfast Express (train no. 16595)

These trains are diverted via Bengaluru, Jolarpet Cahin, Shoranuru, and Mangaluru Junction.

Railway authorities are working to manage the disruptions and ensure passenger safety amidst the challenging weather conditions.
