A lorry transporting granite stones reversed and crashed into a roadside garage in Parkala on Saturday, November 9, after struggling to climb an uphill stretch of a newly constructed road. The vehicle was en route from Bengaluru to Herga when it slid back due to the poor condition of the connecting road, which has not yet been fully completed.

The mishap resulted in significant damage to four two-wheelers parked inside the garage. Fortunately, a person present inside the garage at the time narrowly escaped injury.

This incident is not the first at this location—just months ago, a city bus faced similar issues, underscoring the safety risks posed by ongoing roadwork and unfinished infrastructure in the area.
