Mangaluru: Madikeri MLA Dr Mantar Gowda visited the residence of international athlete Machhettira Poovamma in Mangaluru and felicitated her for her historic gold medal-winning performance at the Asian Games.
Dr Mantar Gowda congratulated Poovamma on her achievement and praised her contribution to Indian and Karnataka sport. He described her as a proud daughter of Kodagu and said her success had brought recognition and pride to the region.
