Mumbai, Aug 21: A 38-year-old man, Satish Kumar Sharma, has been sent to police custody until August 23 after he deliberately crashed his car into his father’s SUV following a family dispute. The incident, which occurred on the Kalyan-Badlapur road, resulted in injuries to four people, including three family members inside the SUV.
The dispute arose from suspicions of an affair involving Sharma’s wife and his cousin, leading to a heated argument and a physical altercation. Sharma, enraged by the situation, attacked his father’s vehicle, causing significant damage. A viral video captured the moment Sharma’s car collided with the SUV, reversing, and then hitting it head-on.
Sharma has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The court has ordered his police custody while investigations continue.
