In a moving ceremony, Mangalore Deputy Commissioner Mullai Mugilan M.P. recognised the bravery of Vaibhavi, a class 7 student, for her quick thinking and courageous act in saving a woman’s life. Vaibhavi had rushed to the aid of a woman who had been struck by a rickshaw and had fallen under it in Kinnigoli.
On the day of the incident, Vaibhavi’s timely intervention was instrumental in rescuing the injured woman from beneath the rickshaw. Her immediate response and presence of mind in a critical situation were pivotal in ensuring the woman’s safety. This act of bravery was acknowledged by the local administration, which deemed it necessary to celebrate her courage publicly.
During the felicitation ceremony, DC Mullai Mugilan M.P. honoured Vaibhavi with a traditional turban and garland, recognizing her as a symbol of bravery and selflessness. The Deputy Commissioner praised Vaibhavi for her quick action and demonstrated values of time consciousness and courage.
