Mangalore: In a tragic accident near the Netravathi bridge in Ullal, a 19-year-old student lost his life on Friday evening after his bike collided with an iron barrier on the roadside. The deceased, identified as Salman Farish, was a resident of Loretto Padavu near B.C. Road and a student of a private college in Konaje. He was riding as a co-rider when the bike crashed, resulting in his death on the spot.
Salman and his companion, both residents of B.C. Road, were on their way when the incident occurred. Mangalore South Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
In a separate incident, on Thursday evening, a man named Adam from Farangipet was killed when a tempo lorry ran over him near Adam Kudru, close to the Netravathi bridge.
