Woman accidentally leaves gold necklace in auto
The woman, identified as Afzila, had purchased the gold necklace from Sultan Gold Shop.
While travelling in an autorickshaw, she inadvertently left the bag containing the newly purchased necklace inside the vehicle before getting down.
It was only after the autorickshaw had left that she realised the bag was missing, leaving her worried about the valuable jewellery.
The 48-gram necklace was reportedly worth lakhs of rupees, making its loss a matter of serious concern for the owner.
Driver returns valuable jewellery
The autorickshaw driver, Basavaraj, later noticed the bag left behind in his vehicle.
Instead of keeping the valuable jewellery, Basavaraj took steps to trace its owner and safely returned the necklace to Afzila.
The 48-gram gold necklace was subsequently handed back to its rightful owner.
His decision to return the jewellery has earned appreciation from Afzila and members of the public.
Act of honesty appreciated
Afzila expressed her gratitude to Basavaraj for his honesty and for ensuring that the valuable necklace reached her safely.
The incident has also drawn attention to the importance of honesty and responsibility when dealing with lost valuables.

Basavaraj’s gesture has therefore been appreciated as a commendable example of integrity.
Valuable lesson for passengers
The incident also serves as a reminder for passengers to check their belongings before getting down from autorickshaws and other vehicles, particularly when carrying newly purchased valuables.
For Afzila, the incident ended on a positive note after Basavaraj ensured the safe return of the gold necklace.
