Mangaluru: In a swift operation, the Mangaluru CCB Police arrested three individuals suspected of planning a robbery in the Mukkachheri area of Ullal.

According to police reports, the accused were allegedly plotting to target wealthy residents and businessmen in Mukkachheri using sharp weapons. Acting on a specific tip-off, the CCB police successfully apprehended the suspects.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammed Samir Ali, Mohammed Mansoor, and Mohammed Naushad, residents of Kiliriya Nagar, Boliyar, and Konaje respectively. The police confiscated a sword, a knife, three mobile phones, and a jeep believed to be used in their planned operation.

Further investigation revealed a concerning criminal history for all three men. Mohammed Ali reportedly has seven cases against him, including attempted murder, the murder of Iliyas, and a shooting incident in Falineer. Mohammed Mansoor’s criminal history includes robbery, assault, involvement in the Falineer shooting, and drug peddling. Mohammed Naushad has a previous robbery case on his record.

Police Commissioner Anupama Agarwal commended the CCB team for their swift action and successful operation, which prevented a potential crime.
