Mangaluru: Mangaluru Junction railway station was illuminated in the colours of the Tricolour as part of Independence Day celebrations, showcasing the spirit of national pride and unity.

Railway station shines in national colours

The Palakkad Division of Southern Railway shared a glimpse of Mangaluru Junction illuminated in the Tricolour on August 14 through its official X account.

Sharing the image, the division described the station as “shining bright in the Tricolour” and said the illumination reflected unity, pride and the spirit of the nation.

The post was shared as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 and Independence Day 2026 celebrations.

Mangaluru Junction is an important railway station connecting the coastal city with several destinations across Karnataka and neighbouring states.

The Tricolour illumination added a festive touch to the station ahead of Independence Day, with the national colours lighting up the railway premises.
