Ajay D’Souza, a resident of Hosapadapu Kallapu Patla in Permannur village, had left for Bengaluru on August 9 looking for a job. He later contacted his family and informed them that he had joined a hotel in the city. However, he did not reveal his exact location.
The situation became a concern for his family after they were unable to contact him the following day. His mobile phone was found switched off, prompting his mother to approach the Ullal police station and lodge a complaint.
A missing-person case was subsequently registered by the police.
Youth had travelled to Bengaluru for employment
According to the report, Ajay left his home on August 9 with the intention of finding employment in Bengaluru. On August 10, he called his family and told them that he had secured work at a hotel.
However, the family did not have information about the hotel or his exact whereabouts. When they attempted to reach him on August 11, his phone was switched off.
The sudden loss of contact raised concerns among his relatives, who approached the police seeking help in tracing him.
The Ullal police registered a missing-person case and efforts were made to establish Ajay’s whereabouts.

Ajay has now contacted his mother and informed her that he was unable to communicate because his mobile phone was under repair.
