Mangaluru — Advay Nimith Poojary from Mangaluru has been crowned national champion in the 54 kg category at the Golden Mongkhon Amateur National Muay Thai Championship, held in Bengaluru from July 25 to 27.
Representing Karnataka, Advay delivered a dominant performance, securing a technical knockout in the second round. With this triumph, he now holds three national titles in Muay Thai, marking a remarkable achievement in his sporting journey.
He trains at Ground Born Fight Club and Fitness Centre, Mangaluru, under the guidance of coach Shishir Poojary, whose mentorship has been instrumental in Advay’s rapid rise.
Facing off against elite talent from across India, Advay’s composed and aggressive approach in the ring stood out, further strengthening his reputation as one of the brightest prospects in Indian Muay Thai.
