Mangaluru: Mangaluru celebrated a musical double as two young talents from the coastal city secured the top two positions in the grand finale of Zee Kannada’s popular reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’.

Ashmith emerged as the season’s winner, taking home the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh. He was trained under the guidance of singer Indu Nagaraj.

Ashmith takes the top spot

Ashmith impressed the judges and viewers throughout the competition with his singing ability. He also showcased his talent on the violin during the season.

Facing strong competition in the finale, Ashmith delivered a series of impressive performances before ultimately lifting the coveted winner’s trophy.

His achievement is particularly significant for Mangaluru, as another youngster from the city also secured a place among the top two contestants.

Achinthya Rai finishes runner-up

Mangaluru’s Achinthya Rai finished as the first runner-up after giving Ashmith a tough challenge in the final round.

Achinthya received a trophy and a Rs 15 lakh cash prize for her performance. Mahanya Patil from Hubballi secured the second runner-up position.

The grand finale featured six young finalists who had earned their places through their performances during the competition. The contestants competed across two stages in a closely fought musical battle.

Double celebration for Mangaluru

With Ashmith winning the title and Achinthya Rai finishing as first runner-up, Mangaluru secured both of the top two positions in the singing competition.

Ashmith had previously appeared as a finalist on Daijiworld Junior Celebrity, a children’s show held in 2022.

The latest achievement marks another memorable milestone for the young singer and a proud moment for Mangaluru’s music community.
