Mangaluru: Talapady, Kinya, and the surrounding areas of Ullal have recorded the maximum rainfall among the top 100 locations in Karnataka during the last 24 hours, from 8:30 am on Tuesday. Talapady has recorded 124.5 mm of rainfall, while Kinya has recorded 121.5 mm. The IMD has advised fishermen on the Karnataka coast not to venture into the sea for the next two days due to adverse weather conditions.

The IMD has also predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rains, with heavy rains likely in coastal areas and adjoining parts of the Malnad districts. Isolated to scattered very light to moderate rains are expected over interior Karnataka districts on June 19. Due to the active phase of monsoon conditions, rainfall enhancement is likely across the state. Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rain, with heavy to very heavy rain associated with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds at times, are expected from June 20 to 26 over coastal and Malnad districts.
