A man has raised allegations of medical negligence against a private hospital, accusing the doctors of leaving a surgical mop inside his wife’s stomach during a C-section procedure performed in November of last year. Taking to X, the man recounted that his wife underwent the C-section on November 27, 2024, and was discharged five days later on December 2.

However, just a week after her discharge, she developed a high fever and returned to the hospital for treatment. The doctor prescribed medication, but her condition didn’t improve. Concerned about an unusual sensation on one side of her abdomen, the couple requested an ultrasound, which revealed a 10-cm mass. According to the man, the radiologist allegedly refused to disclose the findings, and when they approached the doctor, they were told it was a hematoma and not a foreign object.

Despite their growing concerns, the couple’s worries were dismissed by the medical staff. The man maintains that it was only after further investigation that the surgical mop was discovered to have been left inside his wife during the C-section.

The incident has raised serious questions about the hospital’s practices and the potential dangers of medical negligence, prompting calls for accountability and better patient care.
