Bantwal: A dramatic police chase ended in Manchi, Bantwal, when a car belonging to Kerala’s ‘most wanted’ accused, Mohammed Razik, met with an accident on Tuesday afternoon.

Razik, a resident of Kerala with multiple criminal cases against him, is also an accused in a case registered at Manjeshwar police station. He was driving with his friends, Sibin and Sayyad Mohammed Al Ameen, when his vehicle collided with another Kerala-registered Alto car at Montimaru near Manchi.

Though the front of the vehicles sustained heavy damage, no casualties were reported.

According to police, Kerala officers were tracking Razik based on a tip-off about his movements. When he realized he was being chased, Razik allegedly tried to speed away, but lost control and rammed into the Alto. He attempted to flee on foot but was swiftly apprehended by the Kerala police team.

The Bantwal Rural Police also rushed to the spot and carried out an inspection.
